This year’s MyLocalHero event takes place at the prestigious Grove Hotel in Watford on November 16th, 2024.

Please bring with you your entry ticket in order to gain access to the event.

Guests are asked to arrive from 6pm.

Guests are asked to dress in the traditions of a formal ceremony, with gentlemen in black tie, and ladies requested to wear a gown or formal dress.

Those unable to receive their attendance confirmation by post are invited to pick up tickets at the main reception at The Grove Hotel.

Upon entry, canapes and drinks reception will be given to guests. There will be the opportunity to mingle, catch up with old friends, buy raffle tickets and capture the evening through our photobooth, and as well, of course, finding out more about the heroes being honoured.

From 6.45pm guests will be invited to take their seats for a two-course meal – this includes a half-bottle of wine per head available on the table.

From there guests are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy an evening filled with moving speeches and stunning performances from local entertainers.

Guests will be greeted with glasses of bubbly on their arrival. There is also half a bottle of wine provided per head on the table during dinner. If guests wish to purchase additional drinks they can do so at the hotel bar (cash and contactless).

There will be a photographer and film crew present on the night, and MyLocalHero will also be broadcast on Facebook Live. Viewers at home will be able to interact with each other as the awards ceremony progresses.

After the awards ceremony is brought to a close guests will have the chance to dance the night away, with carriages leaving until 1am.

Guests are invited to book accommodation should they wish, and can do this direct by contacting The Grove, or by searching online. There are a number of other hotels close by accessible by car or taxi that will have rooms available to book.

Yes, The Grove has extensive free parking available for guests.

There will be extensive reporting of the awards winners, nominees, and the night in general after the event.
